All change on the buses

Operations at a major Wirral bus depot with a fleet of 50 vehicles and a workforce of 150 have switched to new owners.

Stagecoach has bought the complex in New Chester Road New Ferry – along with a similar depot in Liverpool Road, Chester – from First UK Bus.

The 290 staff and 110 vehicles involved at the two depots will transfer to Stagecoach from Sunday.

Management at First sent out a message thanking all their former staff for their efforts over the years.

Good riddance cheating, lying FirstGroup.

Utter contempt for the people of Wirral and Cheshire, and for the last ten years sent nothing but ageing cast-offs months from the scrapheap.

I took them to court and watched their senior managers being made to retract all their false statements made under oath.

Stagecoach may not be the most trustworthy either, but at least they can proudly say they'll never be as bad as FilthGroup Plc.
