Man in hospital after assault near Wirral pub
A WIRRAL man was taken to hospital after he was attacked last night.
The 50-year-old was assaulted in Bebington Road, near to the Shillings pub, New Ferry at around 10pm.
He was taken to hospital to be treated for serious head injuries but discharged himself today.
A 42-year-old, also from New Ferry, was arrested on suspicion of section 20 assault and is in police custody.
