POLICE are investigating an unexplained death after a body was found on Hoylake beach this morning.
Just after 10.30am, a report was received from a member of the public that they had found a body at Red Rocks.
Officers are in attendance and a cordon has been set up whilst the body is recovered.
It is believed the body was brought onto the beach by the tide and that the person has been dead for sometime.
Police are currently treating the death as unexplained and an investigation is underway to establish the identity of the body and how it came to be on the beach.
