Wirral woman admits murdering partner
A Birkenhead woman today admitted murdering her partner.
25-year-old Cherie Cooper, who appeared via video link from Styal prison, pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to murdering Darren Dempsey.
Cooper stabbed him in the chest at their terraced home in Briardale Road, Birkenhead, on August 17 this year.
She was further remanded in custody by Judge Clement Goldstone, QC, the Recorder of Liverpool, to await her sentence on December 11.
