A Prenton man appeared in court today accused of attacking another man with a knife.

David James, of Grange Mount, pleaded not guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to wounding with intent on July 23 this year.

He also denied a lesser alternative charge of wounding and having an article with a blade.

James, 37, was further remanded in custody to await his trial beginning on December 17.
