Wirral's social care cabinet councillor stands dowm
Wirral Council’s cabinet member for adult social care has resigned due to ill health.
Councillor Anne McArdle has stepped down from the role she has held since May of this year.
Council leader Phil Davies said: “It is very sad that Anne has resigned; she has done a brilliant job for us but you have to put your health first.”
Her cabinet replacement will be Cllr Christine Jones, who represents Seacombe ward with her husband, Cllr Adrian Jones.
