THE Wirral Peninsula features in a new collection of work by Moreton photographer Tim Myers that goes on display next month.

The Dee Estuary and Red Rocks, together with established favourites of Thurstaston Common and Hilbre Island, are among 12 pictures featuring in the exhibition at Dee Fine Arts, Telegraph Road, Heswall, from Monday, July 9.

"It's the first time my work's been shown at Dee Fine Arts and I'm very excited to be launching this new collection," said Tim, who is a computer programmer by day and has been busily snapping away with his Ebony SW45 camera for the last five years.

He added: "There were about 60 images in total and it was difficult to choose those appearing in the collection.

"I've lived on Wirral all my life and feel that the peninsula provides so many different photographic opportunities.

"I'm always motivated and influenced by the coastal, built and rural environments that are found here."

Each of the images were taken using a large format, film camera and printed by hand onto specialist photographic paper. The prints were then hand-mounted, titled and signed by the artist.
