TONY Hadley will promote his new album of swing classics when he returns to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall later this year - and the Globe has two copies to give away in a simple-to-enter contest.

Accompanying the former Spandau Ballet front man on the December 13 gig will be his 17-piece big band orchestra. It's part of the Swinging True' tour to promote his new album, Passing Strangers', which was released on Monday.

Reflecting on his latest work, the 48-year-old Londoner told me: "I've always wanted to do a swing album because I love swing music. My mum and dad were big fans of it and I grew up listening to the likes of Frank Sinatra.

"The first big band gig I saw as a kid was Frank at the Royal Albert Hall and I managed to meet him afterwards. I must have been a real security risk, getting past the guards to meet Frank," he joked.

The Philharmonic show will also feature swing versions of Spandau Ballet's hits Through the Barricades and True, something Tony is cautious about. "You have to be careful with these things - it's going to be a challenge doing swing versions of Spandau songs, but one I'm looking forward to. The swing stuff is getting a great reaction abroad."

The Globe has two copies of Tony's swing album to give away and to be in with a chance of winning it couldn't be easier. Just correctly answer this question:- On what date will Tony appear at the Liverpool Philharmonic?
