Volunteer abroad this Christmas
11:59am Monday 12th December 2011 in Travel & Days Out
John Lewis might have produced the best Christmas advert of 2011, but one thing that they don't have in stock is you!
As the perfectly edited ad suggests, the gift of giving is far more fulfilling, so why not volunteer abraod this Christmas and give yourself, to those that truly deserve you.
Real Gap Experience works with projects in Tanzania that help children who have been affected by poverty and disease. The neighbourhood care projects offer the children a safe haven for education, socialisation and for some, the only meals that they will receive.
With limited funding at the projects, volunteers are crucial in providing a much needed extra helping hand. Whilst teaching is a key responsibility, so is playing, as this also provides children with the opportunity to have a little fun, away from the troubles that life has dealt them.
And there's no better time to have fun than during Christmas, with volunteers bringing traditions from home, such as decoration making, Christmas card creating and tree decorating.
Prices start from £999 per person land only for 4 weeks, departing on December 18. Includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner, airport transfer, in-country orientation and 24 hour support.
