The first footage from DC Comics’ upcoming superhero film Justice League has been released.

Director Zack Snyder was joined by the stars of the movie at Comic-Con International in San Diego, including Ben Affleck, who plays Batman, Superman star Henry Cavill and Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot.

Fellow cast members Ezra Miller (The Flash), Jason Mamoa (Aquaman) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg) also attended the Warner Bros presentation, which previewed scenes of the highly anticipated film – a rival to Marvel’s Avengers movies.

The preview shows Bruce Wayne trying to recruit Aquaman after warning that “an enemy is coming from far away”.

Ben’s character is then heard saying: “I’m building an alliance to defend us.”

Bruce is also shown hiring Ezra’s Flash and working with Gal’s Wonder Woman.

The two-minute 45 second clip also features a brief glimpse of Ben dressed as Batman alongside Ray’s Cyborg.

Justice League is due for release in November 2017.
