IT will be a unique Wirral version of the Sound of Music when a Birkenhead-based nun is seen and heard on TV on Saturday night.

Sister Frances Kelly, from the Congregation Sisters of Nazareth in Manor Hill, will be seen by millions of viewers during ITV's The X Factor advertisement breaks.

Sister Frances, 45, will be co-performing the feel-good song Happy by Pharrell Williams and will be joined by Sister Mary Aquinas Kinsey from the CSN Convent in Cardiff.

It is part of the very popular Talk Talk promotion to give viewers of the show the chance to star on TV in their own unique music video - taking inspiration from some of the nation's pop stars.

Sister Frances, vocation director for the CSN, said: "We are so delighted to be able to represent our Congregation as well as the communities in which we both live.

"it is my job to promote religious life to young people.

"I entered because I know that lots of young people watch The X Factor and I wanted to show that we religious sisters are very normal and enjoy music and TV , too."
