"If you’re feeling in the dumps... don’t be silly chumps," just get on your imaginary horse and pay a visit to the Floral Pavilion.

It’s the perfect tonic to beat these awful April blues.

I have seen it many times before across the UK but this is without doubt the slickest, funniest version I have seen.

Monty Python’s magical madcap Medieval (try staying that after a goblet of mead) stage tour is here – with the deliciously daft Spamalot.

An excellent 13 strong ensemble cast create a perfectly-paced two hour 20 minute hilarious history lesson in the crazy court of King Arthur Superb sets, costumes, cracking choreography and catchy songs make this a great Knight out (oh and don’t forget there’s matinees).

Director Daniel Buckroyd deserves a knighthood.

It was one of the Python’s most successful spin-offs - a stage adaptation of the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

It has now been topically updated with references to Donald Trump and Harry Potter and there’s plenty of New Brighton nods this week which went down a treat with the wide-aged group audience.

There are many show-stopping numbers in a production that ironically goes all out to lampoon established musicals.

The Song That Goes Like This and Whatever Happened to my Part? poke fabulous fun at theatrical power ballads.

While You Won’t Succeed in Showbiz cleverly attacks the very show you are watching.

Pure Pythonesque genius.

Always Look on the Bright side of Life is 40 next year having made its debut in the Life of Brian film.

It is one of the consistently requested songs on the radio and one of the most played songs at funerals. Timeless, tasteless and very funny.

This show written by Eric idle who also wrote the music with the skilful John Du Prez, shows the diverse range and appeal of Python displaying its irreverent and anarchic humour at its best.

Bob Harms, like all of the versatile cast has spot-on timing as King Arthur and Sarah Harlington as the feisty, diva Lady of the Lake has a stunning ready-made West End and Broadway voice.

This faultless touring version of Spamalot is a Laugh-a-lot experience from start to sparkling frenetic finale.

It is topped off with a wonderful audience participation sequence with a difference.

Do not avoid it like the plague...
