CLASSIC fairytale Sleeping Beauty is the subject of Hoylake and West Kirby Theatre Group's rock and pop pantomime.
Their production - based on the tale the Brothers Grimm - will be performed at the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight from Thursday, January 12 until Sunday, January 15.
A spokesman for the show's producers said: "Featuring a live band and a cast of more than 50 children and adults, the show includes an amazing set and colourful costumes, a liberal helping of music and comedy and of course, plenty of audience participation.
"Based loosely on another classic story originally by the Brothers Grimm, this script professional written by Alan Frayn, follows the tale of young Princess Rose, cursed by evil Witch Hazel that she will die should she prick her finger before her sixteenth birthday.
"With some strong principals, including the King's clueless helpers.
"Fetch and Carrie, hapless Muddles, Nurse Dottie Dettol and a charming Prince to name but a few, the show promises something for all the family."
Tickets for the show are £9, with concessions £7. They are available from the Theatre or by calling 625 3542. More details from www.hawktg.org.uk
