HARRY Enfield and Paul Whitehouse bring some of their best-loved characters to the Echo Arena in Liverpool later this year in a show marking 25 years of tickling the nation's funnybone.

The duo live will revive and revitalise a quarter of a century of classic comedy characters in their first live tour, which visits the smaller Echo Two venue on Friday, November 6.

Characters taking to the stage are Loadsamoney, the Old Gits, Smashie and Nicey, Kevin the Teenager, Julio Geordio, The Scousers, The Writer and the Landlady, The Surgeons, to name but a few… The audience may also find out what's happened to Kevin, whether Loadsamoney has still got the dosh and Smashie still do a lot of good work for charity.

Should Harry and Paul think again before embarking on this wonderful countrywide celebration of their legendary partnership? "Oi! Enfield! Whitehouse! No!"

In a statement, the duo said: "We've created characters together for over a quarter of a century and we're gagging to go on the road to showcase just about everything we've done for the first time live on stage.

"Why it's taken us so long neither of us knows, so we're hurriedly getting our act together before we bite the dust."

Tickets for their Echo Two show will be available for sale from next Monday, April 20, from www.echoarena.com or box office on 0844 8000 400
