SUZANNE Collins should be a Bond girl.

She would make a great villain.

Playing Mrs Fleshcreep in Jack And The Beanstalk at Liverpool's Epstein Theatre, the one-time Brookside babe has matured into a formidable panto star.

It is a revelation to see her enjoy and (totally relish) playing a baddie.

Every boo! and hiss! is a hit for this much-loved Wirral miss.

This panto rhyming lark is infectious.

LHK productions have again put together a popular collection of local and national famous faces.

Dan Osborne, from TOWIE and Splash, is in fine all-round Jack-the-lad mode.

Having only seen him on telly reality shows, this production showed he has real flair for theatre.

Dan the man has good stage presence throughout.

Herbert, the famous Scouse hairdresser, supplies the voice of the giant.

And Thelma Madine is an impressive contributor to this fairytale.

The star of Big Fat Gypsy Wedding is on a consistent cat walk sporting huge dresses that cause a lot of 'oohs and ahhs' from the audience.

It is full of energy from the dance routines to the (at times) over-loud songs.

But the cast handle any such sound hitches with skill.

Writer and director Michael Chapman - as dame - takes no prisoners.

He knows what the people in the aisles want and he delivers.

It is a good looking, show with the emphasis frenetically on fun.

It really does do what it says on the poster.

4 Stars. High-powered panto

The show is at the Epstein Theatre Liverpool until January 4. Tickets are from the box office on 0844 888 4411.
