IT'S shoe box time this Sunday. Last year over 1000 boxes crammed with useful household goods and children's toys were sent to Belarus and Minsk to the delight of many families in those regions who struggle every day to survive and bring up their families.
This year your donations are needed by Sunday and you are asked to take them to the Damien Hall. Ideal gifts are small toys (but no toys associated with violence please), household items including soap, shampoo and washing powder. Some innocent items can cause difficulties as happened last year when one of the containers on its way to Albania was opened at Customs and confiscated as it contained a pack of Polos. Apparently Polos contain skimmed milk which is not allow into Albania. More information about filling your shoe box are available from 01494 864373.

After the tone think about your name, your reason for calling and a number where you can be reached. Then I'll think about returning your call.'
