Death Notice

Eva Warren

Published on 15/05/2013

A tribute to EVA WARREN on behalf of her many friends. Eva Warren died suddenly and peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Friday 11th May She was a very well known and much loved human being, as well as a highly gifted musician, accompanist and piano teacher. Her incredible energy, cheerfulness and good will remained right up to the end, her final piano lessons being given only hours before she died. Equal to her love of music was her love of animals, to many of whom she gave loving shelter throughout her long life. A great motivating force in her life was religion. She was not just a regular church-goer; she really lived her religion through much genuine kindness of thought, word and deed; unfortunately a rarity in any era. The loss of such a wonderful unique and giving person will be deeply felt by all who knew her, were taught by her and made music with her.

Eva kindly accompanied me in 1981 for my LTCL performers diploma and was a brilliant accompanist. I also played in a few concerts at her home with a group of musicians. Eva was a great lady and I remember her insights on life were very shrewd. For example one time she shared her views of how she believed ordinary or poor people were the most honest in the world. She also mentioned, knowing how I loved jazz, about the time she saw Ella Fitzgerald in concert and how the great singer was so great and how she portrayed complete confidence in her whole essence and performance.
Eva was possibly an Angel on earth as I am sure they exist. One can only think of J S Bach, Mozart or indeed Ella in that respect.

Dear Eva Warren was kindness itself and a fine musician. I have only just learned of her death. She was my piano teacher at RMCM long ago. I never forgot her. RIP Eva,

I will truly miss Eva with all my heart. I will never forget her; her kindness, patience and most of all her sheer love for music.

Such a loss and I am still sad to not have been able to attend the funeral due to studying in Canada.

With all my love Andrew

Aaw I'm so upset we didn't know in time and missed the Funeral but was in Scotland at the time.

I still use everything Eva taught me in the Band today.

Good to know she lived doing what she loved right up to her final hour.
An extremely kind person & always taught with a smile and had an amazing positive outlook on life.

Then there were all those Cats who knew they were in a safe happy home with Eva!!

My father Gerard Anderson also expresses his shock at this sad news & was an old friend from the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in the 60's

I cannot begin to describe how much of an impact Eva made on my life. She taught me so much about teaching and how to pass on skills and knowledge.
