Jamie Bowman is the Wirral Globe's Digital Audience and Content Editor. He has worked in newspapers for over 15 years and previously worked for the Liverpool Echo and Flintshire and Wrexham Leader before joining Newsquest. He has also written for the Bolton News, Bury Times and helped launch the Salford City News. Jamie has written about sport alongside news for many years and leads the Globe's Tranmere Rovers coverage. In 2022 he won an award from the ECB for his cricket coverage and has also been highly commended at the O2 North West Media Awards.

Schoolgirl Boxer Letitia McKee captured her 3rd Successive England Boxing’s Schools National Title.. in the 1/4 Final the week before.. she won by 1st Round stoppage and in the Final’s weekend she won twice by unanimous decision.. at the beginning of the season,she claimed a silver medal in Maribor,Slovenia at the European Schools Championships to become No2 in Europe.. she will now contest the Tri Nations Tournament in June with Wales,Scotland and a fellow England representative bidding to become the Champion of Britain and will then go onto this years European Selection Camps with England.. a tremendous feat indeed for a 14yr old
